LFW #2 – Runway With House of Holland

If there’s a way to describe London Fashion Weekend in a word it would be sensational. I got a ticket for the Saturday afternoon Designer Catwalk show to House of Holland and I was already curious about the SS 16 pieces.

When the lights went on and the music started playing, people already had their cameras ready expecting the girls to show up on the runway in less than a minute. I was not one of the lucky girls in the frow, as they were sold out quite quick. However with extended arms and some stand ups  I managed to sneak a peek on the runway.

House of Holland was a new brand to me and the reason why I went there was not only because of the designs but also because of the creator Henry Holland (who basically had studied Fashion Journalism but became enamoured of Fashion Design over the years).
Furs and colours, both together in strong combination, and stompy beats have filled the room. House of Holland’s pieces were all about checkered patterns and corset-tight ridged rubber skirts – one of the garments that I found very sexy! The models looked bold and dominant (similar to Olivier Rousteing vision of a woman) with their sunglasses on. The show was all in all a successful event – I loved every second of it!

This is my final chapter of London Fashion Weekend. I hope I could give you an insight in London’s most renown September weekends. In case you missed Part 1 and Part 2 don’t forget to check out these links.
